Meet Our Founders: Dedicated Leaders at Your Service

Our owner and founder, U.S. Army First Sergeant (R) Leland A. Cannon, offers more than just construction services; he brings a lifetime of leadership and dedication to every job. With 21 years under his belt in the U.S. Army, retiring as a First Sergeant, Leland’s career was defined by guiding soldiers through numerous missions and deployments. The core values of integrity, attention to detail, and mission-focused dedication that were critical on the battlefield are the same values that he applies to every project at Veteran Built LLC. After retiring, Leland’s transition from serving his country to serving his community was a natural one, establishing the company with a clear vision: to offer unparalleled craftsmanship, reliability, and trust to our clients.

Geoff Schardien, our co-owner and COO, brings over two decades of experience in the construction industry, paired with a drive to support and uplift the community. Having served in the United States Air Force as a Security Forces airman, Geoff’s military service informed his work ethic and his dedication to service. Following his military career, Geoff focused on residential construction, ultimately moving to Houston to contribute his expertise to Veteran Built LLC. His commitment to helping veterans, especially through creating ADA modifications in collaboration with numerous veteran service organizations, reflects his dedication to giving back to those who have served.
